Welcome to Christian concourse!

Greetings!  You have landed on the website of Christian Concourse Ministries.  What follows on this page is a brief explanation of what our name means and a short description of each area of Christian ministry on which we are focused.  If you'd like to dig right in, the best way to navigate our website is to use the Site Map or the menu at the top of each page.  You will note that the ten areas of this site are color-coded to the labels on the menu.

Our name has a lot to say on the subject of what we are all about:

Christian: "Christians are those who love and trust the person and the work of Jesus Christ.

Concourse: "a moving, flowing or running together; a working together" (Webster's)

Ministries:  "services, aids, instrumentalities"  (Webster's)

Thus, Christian Concourse Ministries is:

"Christian believers working together in service to others."

Specifically:

  • As Christians, by definition, we promote the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loving unity among believers.
  •  We facilitate and promote Long-Term-Care Christian volunteer ministry (Nursing Home Ministry), world-wide, interdenominationally.
  •  We publish Christian original writing, especially poetry, that lifts up Jesus Christ and encourages Christians in their faith in Him - without stressing denominational distinctions among the authors.
  • We promote and facilitate small-group inductive, seminar-style, Bible study and prayer encouraging participation interdenominationally.

We thought we better clear the air on this point as soon as you arrived, because so many ask.  And, now you know if you already didn't.  For more on the "who, what, why and where" we are, click here.

The Good News

The Creator of the Universe has made a provision for every living human being to enjoy a dynamic, on-going, conversational, loving relationship with Him.  The Father appropriated this gift for mankind through the redemptive work of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ bequeaths this great gift, upon all who will believe, by the indwelling of the person of the Holy Spirit.  For more Good News, click here.

Unity in the Body of Christ

The "Body of Christ" is a Biblical concept that depicts the reality that we are each members of the same Body...many members, one Body.  You must be born into this Body by the grace of God through faith in the person and the work of Jesus Christ and the operation of the Holy Spirit in your innermost being.  Given this wonderful, miraculous experience in your life, you become spiritually kin to everyone else who has had this "new birth."  Jesus Christ prayed that we would be "one" even as He and the Father are "One."  Click here for more on unity in the Body of Christ.

LTC Ministry

If you are interested in our Long-Term Care ministry, here's a "heads up" about the resources on this site:

1)  Everything we do related to LTC ministry is for the benefit of the residents, no matter the setting, be it in-home or institutional care.  For this reason, we absolutely do not sell anything related to LTC ministry.

2)  If you do nursing home ministry (or LTC ministry) or are employed by an LTC organization, any downloads or materials mentioned on this site are available at no cost to you (supplies contingent on our available resources).  If you request materials or download resources we are, in good faith, asking you to bless the residents with them freely.  In effect, we are asking you to help us distribute these ministry aids to the residents whom you serve.

Click here for more on LTC ministry and to access our materials.

Poetry and Writing

We are looking for original Christian writing, especially poetry, to publish on this website and in other occasional publications.  We do not charge the authors or the readers for this service.  For more info on poetry, click here.

Small-group Bible Study and Prayer

We believe that Jesus Christ wants His Children studying His Word together and praying for one another.  And, we believe that these two activities are especially rewarding in the fellowship of a small-group setting.  So, we have developed Chapter & Verse, which we subtitle, "The Applied Bible Study System."
