How To Obtain a Hardcopy of This Handbook

This manual is also published in notebook (loose-leaf) form. For care facility volunteers and staff, as our resources allow [AND, if the material presented in this website or Adobe Reader format does not meet your needs], we will send you a hardcopy of this handbook, at no charge to you; just see the instructions below.

In addition to the handbook, Christian Concourse prints and distributes a large print "hymnal" specially for use in long-term care facility ministry. They are lightweight paperbacks that include the words to 31 old-time favorites and 5 Christmas carols listed below. (The music score is not included.) There is a page with a brief description of the Gospel and two pages of favorite, large print scriptures taken from the King James Version. To provide musical accompaniment for the hymn book, we have produced a set of two instrumental CDs. The music on these CDs is slower and in a lower key than they are written in to accommodate the vocal limitations of the elderly. At the time of this printing, a CD set with vocal backup is being developed. It should be ready for distribution by next year.

We also produce a large-print "Christian Christmas Carols" booklet and accompanying CD. These are usually available in the early Fall.

The hard copy handbooks, hymn books, caroling booklets and the CDs are available to the volunteers and activity directors of care centers by simply filling out a form and writing us a note. Instructions for requesting materials:

For a care facility volunteer: send us by U. S. Mail a memo telling us how many you can use reasonably in your nursing home ministry, along with a completed Pastor's Recommendation Form (Click here to load an Adobe Reader file of the recommendation form.). Note: one handbook per group or congregation.

Or, for a care facility activity director: send us by U. S. Mail a memo telling us how many you can reasonably use, along with a completed Care Facility Questionnaire (Click here to load an Adobe Reader file of the questionnaire).

We ask that you restrict your request to one handbook per facility or ministry. You may ask for as many hymnbooks and caroling books as you need.

As our resources allow we will send them at no charge to you via U.S. Mail. Please note: the hardcopy version of this manual, the hymnbooks, the caroling booklets and the CDs are NOT for sale - we loan them to you for as long as they are useful to you or until you wear them out - it is our labor of love for care facility residents.

In the event you damage pages in your manual, call or write our office and we will replace the lost section as soon as possible. Hymnbooks and CDs will be replaced upon your request as our resources allow.
