Grownup
Guidelines
Just For
Kids!
THESE ARE SPECIAL THINGS TO
REMEMBER WHEN YOU GO TO THE NURSING HOME TO VISIT YOUR FRIENDS
THERE.
- Our older friends are
easily upset by loud noises and cutting up. Don't shout,
jump and run around.
- Think, before you get to
see your friends, of something you can show them that you
have learned to do (karate, Bible memory verses, read a
poem, sing a song, sign language, play a musical
instrument, and other things like that).
- Stay with your parent or
leader and try to behave like them.
- Some of our older friends
are very sick. Some have trouble seeing, hearing, and
speaking. And some have trouble thinking. Do not laugh
and make fun of them. Be kind. Remember how you feel when
you get sick.
- When you get tired, tell
your parent or leader quietly in their ear. If you whine
or fuss you might hurt your older friends' feelings.
- REMEMBER, ONLY YOU CAN
MAKE YOUR VISIT COUNT!
- If you like, use our COUNT FORM when you visit your older
friends.
(Mom and Dad or group leader, feel free to copy these
guidelines to your word processor for printing.)

This Web page is updated regularly.
Please put us in your address book and
visit again real soon!
Leave your message, comment, or request in our guestbook.

Special thanks to Elton Smith and Songs of Praise
for our lovely background music written to glorify God.
